This year's annual celebration of women’s work in the home and community will celebrate home preserving through a variety of techniques such as jamming, pickling, souring and drying. We will also be hosting a JAM Session Workshop with local preserving specialists Hardyware Preserves. Stay tuned for more information on the workshop and the take-home goodies you can make.
This event will host activities for the entire family throughout the village grounds.
Visit the homestead to make pickles, knead bread, or taste fresh-made jelly. Kids will love cranking the rollers when we wash laundry.
Members of the The Atlantic Canadian Military History Association will also be encamped on the grounds of the Heritage Village over the weekend of the Women's Heritage Celebration from Friday evening to Sunday Afternoon. They will be featuring displays related to women during the Second World War both overseas and on the home front.
The Old Fashioned Tea Social, and Ecumenical Church Service will both be held on Sunday July 16th.
Please Note: Memory Lane Heritage Village has free-roaming farm animals on site and does not allow pets within the Village grounds.
