A festive day celebrating the coastal villages in the Lake Charlotte area. Come see remote controlled model boats in action on the Dufferin Pond. Enjoy a free freshly made donut from our vintage Belshaw Donut Robot, then explore the Village with some traditional 1940s games and races with the kids, or try panning for gold.
Unveiling the New Electric Vehicle Charging Station and Launch of a Museum Restoration Project
We will be unveiling the new Memory Lane Heritage Village Level II Electric Vehicle Public Charging Station at 12 noon as part of our Dominion Day celebrations and will be launching the recently restored ‘Eb’ Day Flat (ca.1930) just before the unveiling, at 11am.
The installation of the electric vehicle charging station is part of the Memory Lane Heritage Village “Visitor Season Expansion – Infrastructure Upgrade Project”, and was made possible through funding from the federal, provincial and municipal governments, as well as the Lake Charlotte Area Heritage Society, plus the donation of the Tesla charging hardware by Tesla Inc. together with financial assistance from Tesla to cover its installation.
Edward William "Eb" Day was a fisherman and a well-respected carpenter and boat-builder who had a small workshop on Jeddore Harbour. The flat was donated to Memory Lane Heritage Village by Charlie Laybolt, who acquired it in the late 1980s
Please Note: Memory Lane Heritage Village has free-roaming farm animals on site and does not allow pets within the Village grounds.
